CONCERNING THE POWER OF GOD
Concerning the power of God!
When Jesus was about to be arrested according to the gospel of John, the power of God was so strong it caused those who came to arrest him to fall backwards to the ground proving Jesus wasn’t defenseless.
When he was raised from the dead according to Matthew’s account the power present caused the soldiers who kept his tomb to fall and appear paralysed as dead men.
When Peter was delivered from prison the power of God through the Angel kept 16 soldiers, an elite team, asleep at the same time.
When Paul and Silas were in prison the power of God through the ministry of angels caused an earthquake to manifest and the chains upon their hands and upon that of every prisoner was broken and prison doors were thrown open.
We see something consistent about the character of God in all these instances.
It is that though men were arrested by God’s power none of them was destroyed by it.
Should we then call on the one who is not willing that any should perish and who as a result released saving power in the gospel to save men from eternal death, to come destroy men by the same power?
I think not!
Our God is not Sango or Esu
He is not Ogun or Amadioha
He is our saviour and saving men is what he wants his power known for and what he has reserved it for!

I’ll say God forbid. How shall we who knows the truth walk contrary to our identity? For we are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do GOOD WORKS, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Nowhere in the scriptures does GOOD WORKS implies “destroying men”. Hence, I will not advocate for what I don’t have in Christ.
Thanks for the write-up Sir. I gets alot from your messages!
