I believe
The only good thing that Abraham did that made God justify him was not any moral action or activity on his path
His only “good deed” was to believe God and it was accounted to him for righteousness
He believed in a God who justifies the ungodly not the morally upright
He believed in a God who promised never to call his sins and wrong doing to remembrance
He believed in a God who saw he was an idol worshiper and yet called him a friend because of his faith
He believed in one who brought everything to the table that he might be saved without asking him to bring or do anything except to seat
He believed in a message, an offer which by human standards was too good to be true
He believed in the gospel of God’s grace and received a new nature with a spotless record
I believe in that God too and the gospel of his grace!
